PURPOSE

  1. To support and protect the existing development pattern of [NAME OF TOWN / CITY].
  2. To provide the community with a predictable outcome from development and redevelopment.
  3. To enable and encourage investment and appropriately-scaled development within areas identified by the community as appropriate and desirable for growth.
  4. To allow for investment within rural areas that supports working and natural landscapes.

APPLICABILITY

  1. Applies to the land, improvements, development, construction, subdivision, re-subdivision, structures, buildings, and lots within each District or Special District.
  2. Districts and Special Districts are assigned on the District Map. Standards related to each district are located in Article 2 District Standards, Article 3 Building Standards, Article 4 Use Standards, and Article 5 Development Standards.
  3. Properties that are designated on the District Map as having Special Map Requirements must comply with the Special Map Requirements standards found in this Article.
