DEFINITION

The rental of a dwelling unit, or a portion of a dwelling unit, on an overnight or short-term basis for less than 30 days at a time.

STANDARDS

1. Tourist rentals must be occupied by the property owner for at least 6 months out of the year.

Tourist rentals require an annual license from the [PERMITTING AUTHORITY] and may be approved or denied based on enforcement history at the location, whether or not the rental is unduly taxing public infrastructure, public services, has demonstrated a hazard to public safety, or otherwise disturbs the peace of neighbors and the community.
