GENERAL
- Projects may be required to provide small, medium, or large civic spaces based on the district, the size of the project, and proximity to existing civic spaces.
- Civic space types are grouped into 4 categories that range from more landscaped to more hardscaped, including common, park, square, and plaza. These 4 categories share common characteristics such as paving, landscaping, seating, and lighting.
- All 4 civic space categories include 3 sizes - small, medium, and large - each with their own unique size requirements.
- Each of the 3 civic space sizes has a unique geographic catchment area, which reflects the distance people are typically willing to walk to each park size. See Parkshed Radius Table
- Each of the civic space types are permitted in certain districts as shown in Permitted Civic Spaces Table.
